AOTA-S3 — Standards of Conduct 3: Documentation and Reimbursement
What does AOTA-S3 say?
Occupational therapy personnel accurately and completely document all occupational therapy encounters. Standards include: 3A. Record and bill accurately for occupational therapy services, and ensure that documentation is consistent with applicable laws, guidelines, and regulations. 3B. Refrain from participating in any action resulting in unauthorized access to educational content or materials. 3C. Record and report in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with applicable regulations all information related to professional services.
