What does 6.06 say?

Behavior analysts only conduct research independently after they have successfully conducted research under a supervisor in a defined relationship (e.g., thesis, dissertation, supervised research project). Behavior analysts and their assistants are competent to perform research tasks and seek appropriate training or consultation for tasks that are outside of their scope of competence.
